96-98 civic type R rear lip?

did any of you guys have to lower your exhaust to get this on? I am thinking of purchasing this but as I am looking at my APEXi WS I dont think there is enough room for it to clear in between the bumper and exhaust?

the lip isn't lower than the stock bumper where the exhaust sticks out. its the sides of the lip that stick down.
