Nitrous Oxide on GSR??
I have a 99 GSR w/ about 50,000 miles on it and I bout the Nitrous Express 75-100 adjustable shot for the 1.8 liter VTECH and I was wondering what is the safest shot for the integra VTECH?? I think 75 is too much??
for the 1.8 liter vtech huh? IMO you shouldnt be N20ing your car if hou have never even done so much as opened the hood and looked at the motor. How do I know? Its obvious....

If its the wet kit you can do the 75. I would not spray it every chance you get though. If you use more than one bottle aweek, its too much. Retard your timing to around 12 or so, colder plugs, and don't mess up a shift.
i ran many nitrous set ups on my R , i was upto 100 shot before i took it out. the thing was sick.
75 shjot aint **** , just do it right and learn about it and your car before you start spraying or youll be back in a couple weeks looking for a new car.

yes dat nawwwzzz vtech action is very useful for autocrossing, as your icon indicates...
Yep, go ahead & try it. Get the NOS. I want see how well your car will do running the cones in second gear.
I'm not sure its a good idea to be squeezing in autocross
anyways 75-100 is probably going to be the limit you wanna use on a stock motor. Like someone else said make sure you use colder plugs and retard your ignition at least 2 degrees and make sure those gears go in or else bye bye motor.

Well, lets look at the bright side. You didnt call it NAWWWZZ or NOS. but like previously posted I am willing to be along with the other guy that you dont know a whole hell of a lot about your car under the hood. Id say hold off on the Nitrous until you really know your car. From what I have herd 75 is mildly safe if you know what your doing..

Sell the nitrous and buy cams or something

I would never put nitrous on my car. The one thing that is so true about that stuff is that it is never safe.
you realize that major companies like crower, jun, skunk2, and i think toda all had problems sometime or another with the cams they produced. if you look back you'll find some posts or info on brokens cams.
bad things can happen to anyone with anything, don't exclude nitrous as a bad power adder because of all the trigger happy people who didn't know what they were doing when they got it. has anyone even noticed that turbos weren't really accepted by the mainstream tuner until recently. it used to be the bastard child like nitrous. but i'm sure you have no problems with a turbo right?
i'm not starting anything with you, i just don't like how people always call nitrous unsafe, or crappy. they act like the bottle is going to blow up in there face or something.
by the way a 75 shot would probably be the most you would want to use, just retard your timing and use colder plugs.

well, a gsr is a totally different car, but a 75 shot blew my si w/ 27000 miles. it was not good, i cracked the sleeve all the way down on cylinder 2, but now i know, the key to nitrous is fuel! be smart and spend the money for some cold plugs, fuel pump, fuel rail, injectors, and a fuel pressure regulator, it may cost you a few extra bucks, but when your done, if you have a 75 shot, yourt car will run beautifully! also, if you plan on keeping this set up, buy a bottle heater to get just a little more from your bottle.
good luck
good luck
Nitrous does not blow up motors. Stupid people with Nitrous blow up motors. Ive got a 80 Shot Direct Port with stock internals and it runs like a champ. I would advise you to know a little bit more about your car and how your motor works before you jump to nitrous. Nitrous CAN be dangerous if you do not know what your doing. If you are bent on buying it also buy at least a fuel pressure regulator and a inline or intake fuel pump. Also dont think you can autocross with nitrous.
I used the search on archive and recent topics but came up with nothing. I just wanted to know what the smallest shot for a NX direct port system. I want to go direct port because I believe it safely delivers the correct amount of n2o/fuel into each combustion chamber. thanks
