Default what can you use from leftover d15 for b16?

I have the d15b2 and i am goin to go to b16 within the next few months, can i till use my alternator and my starter? I know i cannot use distr, ecu, that kind of garbage, but what about the start and alter? Is there anything else that i can use? Since i will be using the same harness, i was just curious if it was possible to allow this to work.

Thanks,
Matt

If I understand correctly, absolutely nothing is interchangeble between a d-series and a b-series engine. Someone correct me if Im wrong.

the only thing you will be using is the wiring harness...and maybe some hoeses and what not for extra length...

if you have time you should break down and rebuild your d15 it will give you a better understanding of how the internals work...

Hahahaha! You make the engine sound like it has battery-like properties. The only real electronics on the engine are the injectors, sensors, and coil. None of those are going to do some serious power drain compared to the D-series motor. The problem is that the D alternator won't bolt to the B engine.

you could do what i'm going to be doing with my d15b2; trick it out(as much as you can a d15 motor) and have some fun with it. civics and crx's are pretty easy to find. Buy another one and make it your toy car.
