Default Interesting and Odd request

Ok long story short. I recently did a DX to Si swap on my 89 CRX, I went to the dealership to get the emissions sticker for the d16 motor. They said I could only purchase the sticker if I gave them my vin # to order the correct sticker, well since my vin is a DX one I cant order the correct one.

So my request is can anyone let me use there vin number from an 89 CRX Si (California model!).

I havnt gone to the ref yet since my reg isnt due for smog for another year and half. But Id also like to have the emissions sticker just in case I get stopped and they look under the hood.

Thanx...

thats not a JDM car
but looks like it has a JDM VIN number since it starts in J.. maybe its one of those oddballs that were made in Japan...
wish him luck ...
i dont think that vin number its going to work..
just go and search for a USDM Si one....

my friends del sol was made in japan?? are all of them immported?? maybe that explains some USDM cars made in Japan with J starting VIn numbers

My vin starts with a J, and it was made in japan. Is this rare? Look on ebay for vin #'s. Ryan

nope..not rare
this info is correct for hondas...maybe others too
vin begining with J=built in Japan
vin begining with 1,4,or 5 = built in US
vin begining with 2= built in Canada
vin begining with 4=built in Mexico
