Interesting and Odd request
Ok long story short. I recently did a DX to Si swap on my 89 CRX, I went to the dealership to get the emissions sticker for the d16 motor. They said I could only purchase the sticker if I gave them my vin # to order the correct sticker, well since my vin is a DX one I cant order the correct one.
So my request is can anyone let me use there vin number from an 89 CRX Si (California model!).
I havnt gone to the ref yet since my reg isnt due for smog for another year and half. But Id also like to have the emissions sticker just in case I get stopped and they look under the hood.
Thanx...

Damn... that's messed up. I honestly don't think anyone is gonna give/barrow you their VIN#. I would ask local people or friends. Sorry to hear about your delima bro.
thats not a JDM car
but looks like it has a JDM VIN number since it starts in J.. maybe its one of those oddballs that were made in Japan...
wish him luck ...
i dont think that vin number its going to work..
just go and search for a USDM Si one....
my friends del sol was made in japan?? are all of them immported?? maybe that explains some USDM cars made in Japan with J starting VIn numbers

buy a crx si honda manual, go through it and find out how the vin is created and swap nuumbers around and make your own. it should be in the front of the manual

My vin starts with a J, and it was made in japan. Is this rare?
this info is correct for hondas...maybe others too
vin begining with J=built in Japan
vin begining with 1,4,or 5 = built in US
vin begining with 2= built in Canada
vin begining with 4=built in Mexico
