Default 14 inch azenis VS 15 ??

im curious as how do the 14 inch azenis compare to 15 inchers?? i always noticed with 14' tires and wheels that steering was always a bit sloppy which i didnt like. I was planning on getting azenis to use as road race/autoX tires, i got a set of 14's and i can get a set of 15' gsr's for really cheap and i was wondering which direction i should go.

I have the 14's and love them, don't have any serious problems with turn in, etc, because the sidewalls are quite stiff, but I only have them because I got a set of 14x6 wheels for free. I would love in the near future to get some 15x7's to run the 205/50/15 Azenis, and I am sure I would be even happier. Personally, I think if your 14's are 14x6 you will be better off with those than 15X6 GSR wheels. 15" Azenis are wide! Oh, and read the FAQ?

I would go with the 15s. If you went with 14s then your tire choices are very limited and they only make a 195/60/14 which will have almost the same diameter as the 205/50/15 but a more narrow width so you might as well go 15s.

The sloppy steering you complain about isn't a direct relation to the rim size.

well i mean are they about the same performance ??? i know the 15's are wider but maybe the 14's are stiff and handle like a regular low profile 15' wheel/tire. Because i've been running on 17's quite often and i love the responsivness of them. I've had 15' Si's with TOYO T1's's and 95 GSR's with AVS intermediates and those were all cool, and whenever i switched to a 14 inch wheel/ tire it was always sloppy and felt " baloonish" i was just wonderin if the azenis felt the same way even though they're a pretty good tire, you know maybe its just cuz the 14's have a thick sidewall or something.

The azenis have a very stiff sidewall - the 205/50/15's were as hard to mount as my 225/45/15 autocross tires. Either way (14" vs. 15") you cant go wrong but i would go with the 15" for the smaller aspect ratio.

15's are much better. you will get alot more grip with the wider tires.
