HOw do u guys do against the almighty vr6,preferabbly the corrado cause its the fastest.Let's be honest now.

 

The vr6's are garbage(they do have some trq though). Now a modified 1.8t .

 

what r u talkin about garbage.put boost on a vr and see how fast your 1.8t will go.

 

i hate 1.8t'stotally overrated,sure its fast but compare to any other stock turbo car,a wrx will smoke it,a mr2 turbo will smoke.

 

WRX and GTi are not even in the same class of car... wrx 250+ HP, 1.8T 150 ~180 hp...

stock VR vs Stock GSR... ceribus peribus.... (all things being equal) Id say gsr becuase its lighter and has vtec...
hp rating is the same, torque is higher on the VR,
but VW corrados are about 2500 Lbs with a vr.... GSR is significantly lighter.

 

Aftermarket selection for a VR6 is slim compared to the 1.8T's. I didn't mean the VR6's were garbage, but what I have seen at the track leads me to believe that 1.8t's just have alot more potential.

 

No, they are 2800lbs. And yes, the GSR is lighter by a little more than 100lbs.

 

That plus the GS-R has better Gear Ratio. GearBox is VERY important. Good gearing can greatly enhance the performance of a car.
