I want to buy coilovers to drop my car anywhere 1 3/4 and 2 inches. But I wanted to ask you guys from which coilovers do I get the best performance. I am sure lot's of you guys have your cars lowered so I would like your opinion on this also.
Thanks,

get the TEIN SS then if you want you can upgrade to the EDFC (electronic dampenining force controller.)
if you do get just get springs, what ever the comany may be, make sure that you get linear springs and not progressive if you want it to lower it for the handleing. also be ready to replace your struts if you slam it with just springs.....good luck man

Ground Controls work very well, however I would recomend that you get new shocks, for any type of lowering you plan on doing.
Here is a good faq on this http://www.norcalcrx.org/tyson/coilover.html
BTW, you guys know that our cars come with "true" coilovers from the factory right?

bwahahahaha
they're "good"? geez... they're better than just "good"... people speaking on parts with no experience.
for the guy looking for coilovers it depends on your budget. i started off with ground control sleeve coilovers on my civic coupe - they were like $300. they lower you but ride quality isnt so great. i moved up to full apex ws coilovers (adjustable spring height and shock in one piece) on my civic hatch, and those were much better. very stiff ride, shocks are rock solid. those were about $800. full threaded body coilovers are worth the investment. but if you want to just "sLaM that rIzZide y0" then just get some crap coilovers... like maxspeed or R-1.

If your going for mostly or all street driving, I would suggest Tein SS. This is what I'm running right now. If your going to do any racing, check around in the different forums and find people that do that kind of racing and see what they're running.
this is true. my overall experience with GCs and tokico blues werent so great - theywere my first budget setup, and i only bought them for "looks." they were pretty bouncy... and the tokicos didnt keep my wheels on the road that well either.

Spring rates determint your ride qulaity more than the brand.

I have the SS's and the rears are pretty stiff making street driving a little less uncomfortable. But idk maybe thats just me.......

I drive my car daily and very aggressive to so I need to raise car during the winter and lower it durind the summer. I do street race (drag, highway, drift). So I want coilovers that will take the pressure and not like brake or anything. How ever I do plan on getting new shocks in the future but for now I just wanted my car lower and to handle better.
Thanks,

umm sorry but u cant drift......... FWD dont drift... they powerslide.... so no take that out......... and dont even try to argue....
you cant really lower your car that much w/out getting shocks...so i would just wait until you can afford both...or a true coilover like a tein.

good setup!
