Default Poor fuel mileage

I filled up this morning..guage was almost on E....Filled up about 8.7 gallons..this right? I thought integra was 13 or 12?
Anway..drove around today, at about 3/4 mark already..only 30 miles..I think its my fuel pressure..only have a guage on it tho...not a regulator..So I will check it when I get time.

All the general maintenance is done tho..

Also loosing oil...about a quart every 1.5k
Compression test was done, came out beautiful

Ideas?

EDIT: I get about 220 miles on average tank, which is about 8 gallons..
Last "tank was 130 miles " could my gas guage be messed up?

Well check you manual and see what your gas tank size is. That way you'll know if you're actually filling the tank.

Don't forget your 17" rims hurt your gas mileage and if you are like me then you're driving habits don't help your fuel economy.

if you were on E, you should have been able to put at least 10 gallons in there.. sounds like you just didn't fill the tank.

if ur gague is anything like mine then if its at 3/4 mark then the tank probably isnt anywhere near 3/4. my gauge goes really fast until the needle gets near the middle then slows down, then speeds up agian towards the end, kinda weird.
thats why u could only put 8 gallons in there when it looked empty.
edit: the gauge is made to look empty when its not so u dont run out of gas

Buring oil like that is not a good thing... what kind of oil are you using???? If its light or synthetic some cars will burn off a lot at high RPMs but that much a week yikes. What color is your exhaust gas???? Poofs of color are not good things. Black=too much fuel, white=engine coolant, bluishil.... if your exhaust if colored you might want to consider a compression leakdown test and get your rings checked. Anyways my two cents...

Thought about all this..but its winter...and every car smokes white..so its hard for me to tell.

As for my driving..I usually shift low...So i can get the best mpg..with the war and all..going back and forth to school, gas get EXPENSIVE!

So is it better to shift at a high rpm and keep light foot? or just shift low, and press a lil harder to make up for the lack of acceleration? if that makes any sense.

you can try this i think it worked for me. if the climate control is on the hotter side put it all the way to the coolest and close your vents. i know its cold and all, but just try it for a tank and see how your gas gauge goes.

The more "gas" you give it, the more gas you give it. Pushing down the pedal less will increase your mileage...I try to keep my AF guage between 10 and 20VAC constantly, and Im averaging 260-290 consistently with boost and all.

Also, like everyone says, the guage is deceiving. Sometimes E means 9 gallons, sometimes it means 11. I was on E yesterday, and usually when the light JUST comes on I hit about 10.5...the light didnt come on yet nor was close to it, and I pumped 11.4 in there.

Our gas guages are totally inaccurate.
