Default poor man's lsvtec

ok. i am in school right now. but i need something to get this 4door boat moving. i saw something online where some1 used a 90 ls block and a 90 b16 head. i am trying to get the most power i can for the dollar. would this be cool. i am plan on doing pistons and rods if i can do a cheap setup like this. anybody recommend anything.

yeah i know "you have to pay to play"
oh also any other setups that you could recommend would be nice.
trying to work with my current engine is out of the question.

The setup that you're talking about is called ls/vtec.

Its not defenalty not cheap, it will cost you around 3k roughly.
Ofcouse there is no fixed price for ls/vtec becuase each setup is different.
It all depends on how you build it.

go to http://www.c-speedracing.com and than click on how-to and read their ls/vtec
section that should get you answers to your question.

if not post em up.

Personally, I'd do an H22 swap, beat the **** out of B-series swaps and save up for a turbo with the money I just saved.

I like H22's....good swap...just as good as any b series or even better....but massive torque...

lsvtec definately not a poor persons swap...

hell, what are some ideas of some swaps that would be ok for a person that does not want to have fix things weekly. i havent really placed a budget for myself, but i do know what i am not willing to spend. this is a daily driven car. any suggestions at all

True True. Good setup anyway. If i could do it over again I would have gone na ls/vtec insted of fi b16.
Toooooo much money to get turbo vehicles to run right when there not turbo to begin with. I say do it or ls/vtec owns yo *** and you will regret not doing it I know I do. Well not completely.
