I am almost there,500 bux and i have my very own jdm b18c1,neways,i dont even have the engine yet and someone is already harrassing me at work about how her sister bf is goin to kick my *** with his stock 5.0 stang.i have a 92 dx hatch. i have till summer to beat this domestic dumbass. how will i stack against him,will my motor take it stick or will i need mods?

 

the old mustang 5.0 is actually fast. but i have beaten 3 of them so far. but i have lost against them too. all depends what mods you have. one time some chick was talking **** about my automatic and she said stick is the ****. don't get me wrong manuel are the ****. but at that time i told her looks like you can talk to talk but can you walk to walk. so she started talking **** that she gonna kick my ***. but ends up i whoop her *** and everyone laughed at her. oh by the way, you may have only 500 bucks left but i would get more than that because **** happens during swaps!! may have to spend more to fix something or get something to finish it off

 

It depends on if you can drive or not. I think 5.slows run a high 14 or low 15 stock and just by doing the swap, you should be about 14.8-14.9 pervided you can drive.

Well I am just happy to know that the engine is in my arms with the distance of 5 bills,i am still gonna invest money in it before i even think of putting it in my car like seals,waterpump,timing belt etc.so u took the stang with your auto b16,that just makes me more likely to beat it with my manual b18,but untill i own a porsche biturbo i will never underestimate stangs.

 

make sure you can drive first

 

First have you r friends spy on the stang for it being stock or mod. we have one here that is a sleeper and runs in the 9s with NOS.


lets put it this way for temp basis remove ur interior but your seat and the dash then get so good drag radials (borrow them) and run.

First time i did my swap i didn't think it was going to be that fast and even removed my hood, and ran a stang 1/2hr after the swap

 

i can drive pretty good,i could take 99 si coupe till the ned of third with my dx engine,mind you my d15 is pretty modded,i know it was a waste of money but i when i got my car,i looked at the motor and decided it needed an intake then one thing led to another and it ended up having cams,headers,exhaust,the works but neways back to the subject,will a set of stage one todas get the job done against the 302?remember i'm talkin stock as hell mustang here.
