My new downpipe, opinions and criticism welcome :)
Done in about 2 hours with a mitre saw using an abrasive metal cutting blade and a $300 Craftsman MIG welder.
Do ya'll think the transition to 3" is to rough after the reducer cone?

Tight...my new buddy Farnsrocket likes it
As far as going 3" on the flange, MAYBE but the pipe would be off center from the opening because the opening is real close to one of the lower bolts.
The cone is made by Flowmaster, they're about $20 a pair from Summit.
Sonny, you KNOW it's for the bike. I've got it all tricked out with a horn and all, what do you think I've been driving while my car is down???

You dirty rat bastard. What happened to the "don't ask don't tell" **** huh?
Anyway, yeah, I was thinking of painting it a cream color and painting the exhaust flange a purple...
Thanks for the encouragement, I thought I would get a LITTLE criticism
BTW...I had to use piping from Dynomax, Flowmaster, and Imco to make this thing. For reference, Dynomax makes J bends in 2.5" with a 2.5" radius, where Imco (JCWhitney) only makes them in 4" radius. The tigher radius makes it much easier to clear A/C.
