Found a nice alternative to the Rear Wiper Delete.
I'm not sure if anyone else has done this. I searched but I think the only real way to delete the rear wiper on our integras was to use the OEM 92-95 Hatchback Cap and bolt.
This will run you about $25.00 for just a bolt and cap if I recall correctly.
Well I ordered these parts and while I was at my shop I was helping remove some sound material from a 1G DSM (90-1994 eclipse/talon). While removing this stuff (pain in the *** on these stupid cars) I noticed a little rubber cap and thought to myself "Damn that looks like it would fit right in the hole where my windshield wiper was"
well I grabbed it out and tried to fit it and BAM what do ya know an exact fit. It fits PERFECT. I have washed my car 3 times and its been raining for about a week and not one drop has entered my car.
I haven't called the Mitsu dealership to get a part number yet but I am going to do that sometime this weekend. Basically its a FIREWALL PLUG. It goes into the firewall right in the passenger side, its about 3 inches below the dash. Ill get a part number soon.
Here are some pics, It looks damn near OEM.
Should only run about 2.50 cents.
Enjoy

I like it....I definitely am interested if you can get me the part number.
OT: Does anyone know how to remove the rear wiper? I did a search, but nothing really helpful. TIA

Yes I will get a part number ASAP
Remove the rear windsheild wiper is nothing. Its very straight foward. Just remove the cap off the windsheild wiper on the outside. Remove that bolt. Then remove your plastic hatch cover. Take all the bolts off of there and slide it out. pry out the thick *** rubber donut and thats about it.
Simple stuff.

one drawback teg owners will know its not in there with a bolt so someone could yank it right out. sort of just as steelable as all out emblems but easier
HAHA If someone would steal a 2 dollar peice of rubber then they have real problems.
Why do this??
I like the fact I can clean off my back window with a wiper, although I live in Canada and it snows a lot here (6 feet so far and more coming) so.....

Weight savings is a plus, and I dont need it, it NEVER EVER snows here and I dont even get ice on my windows. The car is aerodynamic enough to where if its raining all the rain just rolls off anyway. And I think it looks CLEAN.

i saw a thread on this about a month ago too. you don't need to go to the mitsu dealer for that cap either nor do you need the $25 cap/bolt method from the civic hatch. there's actually one somewhere on your firewall (that isn't crucial) that you can pull out and use it on the void where the wiper used to be. replacement can be purchased from your acura dealer for a few bucks too. part# details in the link below.
if u do a search for "wiper removal" for the ARCHIVED topics, you'll find a plethora of info.

looks good. let us know about the part number. i dont drive my car in the rain so i might take off the wiper too
i actualy do drive in the rain, but for the entire period of my car, the rear wiper blade has been worn out and i have never replaced it... so might as well get rid of the sucker...
there is a plug like this that you can buy from honda/acura as well, not just mitsu. On 90-93 integras there is a rubber plug for the firewall that fits the hole in the glass.
in this pic i'm pretty sure its #9: http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/...tcgry5=GROMMET (possibly #20, but the description for #9 sounds more correct).

i did this on my car as well as some other people on this board and its easier than you think. . . .in you engine bay on the firewall, right nere the battery there is a rubber "grommet" they call it that fits perfectly in the whole. some of my buddies didnt bother to plug it back up, and it sits as is, or like me just have a piece of ducktape over it. . i know ghetto, beut hey cant really see it, and you can order the part from acura, to get it to the dealer and everything said n done its 6 or 7 bucks. its number 17 on the diagram they have at the dealer
there is a plug on all 94-01 tegs that will fit -- it's in the firewall right below the battery on the passenger side.

i got a metal plug with bendable tabs at lowes for about 60 cents... used a little flatlack on it, popped it into the hole and from the inside, i bent the prongs/tabs outward so that it cannot be popped out unless all of those tabs are rebent from the inside
