Will the addition of an aftermarket clutch/flywheel improve your dyno results?
I know things like temperature outside and wheel size can affect dyno numbers, but does an aftermarket clutch or flywheel improve your dyno results?
An aftermarket clutch won't show. Someone on here has posted a dyno sheet of their lightened flywheel gaining HP. I just installed both on my car and talk about a difference. I put in the xAct 12.5 pound FW and an exedy organic clutch. I like both so far.
Oh yeah! I am thinking about getting an aftermarket clutch and flywheel, because I won't be buying any parts for my car for a long time (going FI). So in the mean time, I thought why not maybe get clutch/flywheel.
How does the acceleration of your car feel now? How long was the break in period?

break in period was at least 500 city miles drivien very easy. I also put on about 700 miles of highway but that kind of driving doesn't do anything for the clutch.
My car feels quicker off the line all the way through the rpm range. A friend of mine is pissed because he has spend well over 1200 bucks on I/H/C/E and my car with 100K more miles than his still pulls just as hard or harder. I don't have any other mods besides the lightened flywheel. I do wish I would have gone lighter. xAct makes an 8.8 pound wheel that I should have gotten. Oh well. I haven't had any negative effects because of the wheel. Driving in traffic is just the same.
It's hard to decribe, but the car feels lighter now. I now, that can't happen, but the car is so much better in all around city and highway driving. The car doesn't bog down as much in low rpm's and slow corners that you take in second gear, the car just pulls so much better out of the corners. I can't wait to autocross the car. This was by far one of the best mods for the Integra. The car should have came from the factory this way!

if your stock clutch is worn and slipping, a new clutch especially a performance one will improve your dyno numbers. If your stock clutch is still strong, you will see no improvement.
I paid 260 for the exedy clutch. pressure plate, release bearing and alignment tool. The flywheel was another 240 I believe. All from clutchcityonline.com

he drives an LS so basically the same thing. My car is probably alittle lighter since his is a 4door and I have an RS. But, for the most car, it's the same car. Beleive me, the car pulls way better than with the stock setup. If I was to do it again, I would have ordered the 8.8, not the 12.5. I wish I would have gone lighter.
volcom is lying!!!! his friend drives a type r, imported four door, i should know they were all over my house last sunday for the weekly rally and bullshit session
