i was looking at the i/o port page nat harnesses and they have the camlocks listed a driver and passanger seperate. any ideas as to why??

One of the lap belts is non-removeable in most camlock harnesses. Due to that fact, it makes sense why they would be "side-specific". (Two holes on the top of the camlock for your shoulders.)
Other than that, I dunno.

now that you mention it, i just took out my seat last night, i dont have the snap off hook at the end of the camlock latch and was thinking it would be easier if the camlock was actually on the outboard side cuz i wrap that lapbelt around the rollcage. this way i wouldnt have to go underneath the car to take my seat out to unbolt the anchor. oh well. gonna be buying a snap hook anyway now.
