Default swapping 15s for 17s

hey all,

newbie here , ive got an eg running on 15s atm. i also just lowered it by 30mm. question: if i slap on 17s, will the car still run on the same height, or would it raise the car at all??

would it also wear out my shocks faster?? can i get some advantages and disadvantages of doin this swap?

thanx guys

Lowered by 30mm?

Depending on the tire profile of your 17. Try 205/40/17. In theory it may wear out your shocks faster because of the unsprung weight, but in reality, it won't. Advantage would be cool looks. Disadvantage would be stiff ride, heavy weight, and cost of tires.
