thats this thing on the bottom of the Z6 throttle body? it has coolant going threw it but there is no wires/sensor or anything? what is it and is it needed? or can i just bypass it?
(btw i have a CRX and im putting a Z6 IM and TB on an A6 motor, thought i would get a better response here)
THANKS!!!

HAHA frezzing in washington? well it did get to ~30 the other day, but its about time to warm up. and im not planing on keeping this engine for more than month or two.
what do you mean by frozen? will the TB not work? after the car has been sitting for a while the coolant in there will be the same temp as outside anyway and would be the same as it not being hooked up, right?

It's to keep your throttle body from getting frozen. If you're in WA, you should probably keep it.
still not understanding how it will "freeze" the throttle body. but its not hurting anything so i guess it will stay...

Personally, I think Honda engineers are smarter than the average burger-flipper, and they put the TB heater there for a reason, but to each his own. I know that a lot of ppl bypass the TB heater, only to complain about poor idling later.
What are your thoughts on the subject?

my thoughts? well im not the average burger-flipper (i work at Schuck's Auto Supply and Blockuster Video, nope not a riceboy i pay for my ****!), but i think its ****** useless. you want to here something cool i forgot to mention, i grab coolant from the intake manifold then it goes to the turbo, after it gets all heated up there it goes to the TB after that it goes to the IACV. so if i bypass the TB it will go strait to the IACV which probly aint good to begin with and will result in a shitty idle cuz the car will be thinkin its hot. so either way it wont matter i guess huh?
i thought about disconnecting that when i put the y8 into my car, but i decided just to leave it in. I figured it was there for a reason....
