Default Anyone ever cracked a stock retainer?

Have any of you guys ever cracked a stock retainer? If so how high were you reving when it cracked?

I'm planning to run ITR cams and redline at the stock ITR redline (8,400rpm). I'm also gonna be using stiffened inner valve springs. So my question is will I need titanium retainers if I'm running ITR cams with stock ITR rev limiter and stiffened inner valve springs or will I be fine with stock retainers?

I think the type r and GSR/b16 retainers are all the same stock number. I'm not 100% sure so check with others. Also i have heard from many people that stock retainers are safer than Ti retainers they just waight twice as much.
