AEM bypass valve useful on generic intakes?
i think its a waste of money. tests prove it only works if the entire filter is submerged in water. how often does this happen?
many reports of hydrolock occur with just splashes of water and nothing near complete submersion. the bypass cannot help with splashes. useless imo. since heavy rains have just started i took the cai extension off.. at least until i close off the bottom more

it's kind of contradicting IMO
why supposedly increase a little bit of power and drop it again with bypass valve? Just avoid driving over a puddle of water or like me, get a short ram

seriously tho how much water does it take to hydrolock a motor, i once accidentally left my hood open with my short ram and some water sprayed on the filter and the car ran fine
i ahve hit puddles at 80mph with my cai and never came close to hydrolock . they suck i have broke sooo many bypasses, its retarded. old ones and new ones. they are junk if your pushing power
