im looking to buy a 94' - 95' integra. i want to buy a gsr but my friend mention it would probably cost less to buy a LS and Vtech it. which is a better desicion?

 

Go with the gsr straightout. It will be better in everyway. True a GSR will cost you more than an LS, but many many LSVtecs are nothing but a world of trouble. It is really tough to do it right. Just go GSR and get a true-blue B18C1. SInce you are looking at olders one definately get a compression leakdown test done and make sure the numbers look good.

 

I would go with the GSR, just cause of the tranny if nothing else.

You want reliable car... then go with the GSR

 

You will hear many opinions but bottom line is this. GSR (B18C1), will be reliable, factory built. LS/vtec, can be a bit sketchy. I have seen LS/vtecs that are nothing short of being a monster and I have seen ones that are not too reliable. I personally know someone that has an LS/vtec.....the motor is strong, holding up really well and it pulls like no other... the motor puts down numbers that are better than ITR's with basic mods. How long it's going to last? I don't know.
