My Car's Specs??
I just recently bought a used 1998 Accord LX and i would like to know the full specs of the car. Is there a website where i can enter my VIN number and they'll tell me everything about my car???
I'm newbie when it comes to cars. I have a manual transmission and would like to know how high i can rev up my car w/out hurting the engine. Is it ok if i rev it up to around 4 rpm when i'm in the 1st-3rd gears??
thanks for all the help!!

thanks for the reply!!
The Accord we bought has 131K on it but its in great condition and we got a really good deal on it. Leather, moonroof, stock cd player... I'm sure there's extra stuff on the car that i don't know about so i'm looking for a site that can give me full specs of my car. any ideas where i can find it??

well, if you really want to, you can rev it up to the "red-line" but probably will deteriorate the engine components faster. you should be fine with 4k but that seems a little high of a shift unless you are "getting after it" or trying to put in some serious acceleration, 3k is probably good for cruising, maybe even earlier. It is likely that it will help with gas to shift earlier as well

thanks for all the replies.
I have no intention of red-lining it. I would just like to have some "oomph" when i'm accelerating esp when coming from a full stop. I know its not a civic and i'm not trying to race, I just want a little power. So i'm shifting around 4000 rpm coming from a full stop. Is this hurtful to my engine?? i thought it was ok until the last couple of messages... BTW, when i'm cruising, i keep at between 2000-2500 rpm. thanks!
