AEM Brake Pad install
I cant fit the AEM pads into the caliper, does anyone know what I am doing wrong? The Pads seem like they are just too big. Is there a way to create more room inside the caliper? If anyone has done this install before Please Help Me before I go nuts, any help is appreciated, thanks.
yeah make sure the piston is pushed into the caliper. If you push the pistons back into the caliper and the pads dont still slide into the rotor, you may want to get the rotor reserfest( spell check)..... take the rotor(s) off and take them to pepboys they will do it for a few bucks... hope that helps
if you are changeing the front breaks use a "C" clamp to push the piston back in. if you are also going to change the rear(4 disc breaks) you have to push and turn { (<
left to right i think thats clock wise } the piston in order for it to retract. i used my bare hands to do this it was easy on my car but it may be hard on you car

We have a problem... We are not sure if the caliper is broken/damaged/fucked. The repair manual says that if it doesn't go in easily, do not force it because it is one of a couple things:
1. An out of round brake caliper piston
2. An excessively worn brake caliper bore and/or brake piston (probably this one)
3. Excessive corrosion or debris built up on the brake piston surface or caliper bore (probably this one too)

You do have to use force to get em in.
I use a HUGE set of pliers, the handlers are prob 1ft long, and it takes both of my hands to compress the calipers.

you are talking about the front piston right ! o.k get a c clamp put in the piston ( open the brake fluid lid) and turn the c clamp slowly you will see the piston move in to the housing.
