Default 97 accord v6 motor/tranny into 2nd gen teg

has anyone heard of someone attempting to put a v6 into a 2nd gen integra? i have a 2000 mustang right now, selling it in a few months and i really want to get a 2nd gen integra, but my stang has spoiled me for torque...

if that's not an option, what are the best rec's for building a badass integra on a budget? i am confident i can find a 2nd gen with a bad motor for around $1k here in houston.

what would give me the most bang for my (naturally aspirated) buck? i can do intake and head porting/polishing myself, as well as any other engine work since i will have the motor out of the chassis.

i am looking for man-hour intensive, but financially cheap options.

any info is greatly appreciated!

Since you are on a budget, you can forget about putting a V6 into an Integra. It would be just too much work and money to transplant. If you want torque, you could do a B20 or a B20vtec swap. Ultimately, it all depends on just how much you have to play with. It's hard to compare torque of a Mustang vs. a Honda 4 cylinder.

Is it generally better to look for motors from specialty resellers that sell used motors already removed from the vehicles or to try to find salvage/loss cars and just make sure compression is good?

Really hard to say, I don't know how your local yards are. Usually just better off going to an importer, those engines produce more HP anyway.

look around on houston-imports.com go into redline imports section mike can prolly help find a motor you should forget about the v6 but a jdm h22a might do the trick.
