I was thinking about buying a test pipe for my 99 ls. Has anyone ever bought one from these guys. How about there cel fix (welding longer bung where 02 sensor goes). Does it work and fit well?? Any feedback would be great.....

 

I ordered from the real good service. I should have ordered mine with the longer bung cuz now my o2 sensor wires are too short and I cant hook it up. So ya go ahead and get it with the extended bung.

 

I ordered from them and they were terrible. I ordered from them and paid, eventually my testpipe came. However, I ordered a 2.5" testpipe for my car, and they sent me a 2.25" testpipe that was too long. I emailed them telling them their mistake, and they told me to just make it fit. I constantly emailed and called them, they refused to send me the correct one I ordered. Finally after about 2 months of their bullshit, I sold the pipe to somebody who had a car it would fit.

I had a good experience with them --- got my test pipe within 4 days. Fits great.

 

NEO1Z.....Did u get a cel with the test pipe, or do u have an obd1 car...

On the Orderform I specified which Str8 pipe i needed ... and i sent an email also stating what test pipe i needed ... and they sent me the wrong one

 

Has anyone with a obd2 car bought a test pipe from these guys??? If so did u order the extended 02 bung, and did u get a check engine light ???

 

I did indeed get a CEL (catalyst failure --- I don't see how you couldn't get one...Yes, Indeed there is bung for the O2 sensor, but it will still read that there is too much crap in the convertor, so it will say catalyst failure)....once I put on the Kenji ECU however, it was gone.

 

Neo1z, Yes I know that you would usually get a cel with a pipe like that, however the guy I talked to at testpipe.com said I would not get a cel because of the extension they weld on to the o2 bung... Any thoughts???

 

All the extension is going to do is make the o2 sensor fit. You'll still get the light if you're obd2.

 

Go to a muffler shop and they'll make you one for like $20. I've looked at that web site and just the web site shows they don't know what the **** they are talking about. I've seen a few people complain on here over the years too, so I'd stay away from there. Also, I don't think it really makes a god damn difference having a test pipe vs. hi-flow cat. We put one on my buddies civic and it didn't seem to do ****. Not worth the hassel of legality, environment things, and inspection IMO.

 

As mentioned, you will indeed get a CEL if you are OBD2...however, why not just take that as a good excuse to convert to OBD1? I did (actually, the cams made me do it...but whatever)
