Default rear strut bar quality

yesterday i received a rear upper strut bar i got off ebay for $28 shipped and i was very surprised at the quality of it. it's well made and pretty stiff. i just wanted to know if you guys have any experience with some of the rear bars and how crappy or well made they are. oh, and it's for a 5th gen. accord. now this is also just based on looking at it and taking it apart. i have no idea how it will perform on the car, or if it even fits completely, although it looks as though it will.

we use the front and rear bars off e-bay, payed like 60 bucks for both

the held up through a whole race season of pounding road course races, no evident bending or wear and are still as stiff as when first put on

very true. the reason i bought the ebay bar was because no reputable companies, besides really expensive jdm companies, make a rear bar for the 5th gen. accord. i figured that $28 was worth it for the small improvement i expect from it. don't misunderstand my purchase of an ebay bar as me always buying cheap parts, that is far from the case.

from what i've seen the bar is made with as good of craftsmanship as any of the bars you'd otherwise pay 4x as much for.

any pictures? I have a ebay rear bar, $20 picked up locally... but it is not quite long enough for my linking... the endlinks are on the very ends to get it long enough to fit an accord... I'm thinking of having longer ones made just so this freakin thing would be sturdier, or having a whole freakin solid bar welded onto the ends (the strut bar ends that is)

Where ya at TypeSH? Would it work on a 4th gen?
apparently somebody's post didnt show up?

Idunno, I think this bar might work on a 4th gen, its the one w/ endlinks/connectors that screws in/out of the strut bar to adjust the length to fit. As far as getting the ends welded or something... thats something I'll look into way way down the line.

i got an airdynamic one for $40 shipped off groubuy a while ago and it's very nice. matches my pilot front bar. i bet the same company made them and sells them to other companies.

i think STBs are the only generic product i would buy.

you may want to try http://www.accordstore.com they usually have odd stuff that you can't find anywhere else for accords. I found a front and rear strut tie bar for my accord wagon on there by tenzo and it's holding up pretty good considering the turns I've been taking in my heavy @$$ wagon. I't also got a set of NEX coilovers and shocks in the front.

If the 4cyl cars are the same as mine then it would be really hard to have a rear strut bar because the top of the struts are at the back deck where the rear speakers are and they are covered by a plastic panel.
