I don't have the Skunk2 but the silencer on my muffler works great! When I take it off it's kinda loud...

I've read some pretty detailed reviews.

Up to a 8hp gain at peak. However, with the silencer in place it only pushes out a 1hp increase.

I've also heard that it is extremely loud with out the plug.

Best of luck.

stick with a cheaper exhaust, like magnaflow or something. With that amount of money you should get more than a 10 hp increase. Dont waste yur money on stupid things, and for sure take the silencer off!

It's too loud without the silencer. I'm all about quiet performance...Apex WS, Greddy SP...etc.

i'm pretty sure the soudn will be comparable with other n1 style exhausts like the apexi, so you're gonna get a pretty loud exhuast at the same time, for any name brand exhaust you are gonna hvae to spend some money. Whether that name brand exhuast is worth it is really at your discretion.

But flame me all you like, but i like the invidia

is that header USDM? if so ditch it in favor of a JDM 2.5" header to free up power in the top-end. as well as a 2.5" cat/exhaust. a 2.5" system will get you more power than the 60mm=2.36" skunk2.

BTW, it's valve, not value.

It's pretty good, but you won't like the power with a silencer in for sure. Worse than stock
