Was it faster than your first by any chance? Cause you still took fastest FWD honors, Congrats!

 

that damn multicolored SLOW M3 took #1 Overall... could it be any slower?

Great driving Elton FFWD

 

I had a 62.037 on a rerun for my last run. Looks like they misprinted the 7 and 2. I had a 63.6 my first run, 62.5 second run. But they said it wouldn't make a difference in my class so they weren't going to change it..no biggie.

 

They screwed up my 1st and fastest run.
They got the fact that I hit the one cone right though.

Was a long day. Picked up soooo many cones (worked the slalom) for soooo many cars.

 

I was just glad to post a decent time after 2 DNF's...I gotta hand it to all you experienced autocrossers...it's not easy. Looking and setting up for the next turn is something that I need to really work on, what's your secret? I suppose practice

 

Good job Irvin Congrats on the 2nd place.

The secret is looking ahead, way ahead. Also, being able to ignore all the cones that don't matter is a good skill to work on. On any given course there are really only 1 or 2 cones per corner that you actualy have to look at, the rest don't matter.

 

Thanks for the tip Jeremy...I will definitely keep that in mind in addition to the dozen other things that flashes through my head, lol...

 

Play a lot of Gran Turismo.
Watch Best Motoring Videos.
Eat lots of instant noodles.
Eat lots of rice.
Must beat M3

So that's your secret Elton! I just wanted to add to the list, watching British Touring Cars. No one can hang out the back end of a FWD car like those guys.
