Depends on what you want to do.
If you are looking to "strip" all the stuff off, before a good cleaning job, then I would recommend Dawn Diswasher Liquid. Dawn is more alkaline than other soaps. If you got a good coat of wax already on it, and don't want to remove it, I would just use water. Other than that, I don't really notice a big difference between car soaps of major brands you find in car parts stores. If I do use them, I use very little so I don't have to worry too much about rising it all off.
