Default How to take off interior door panel

Hey guys. My neighbor recently backed into my car and dented my driver side door. The damage is minor and I'm going to push it out myself. I was just wondering how difficult it is to remove the inner door panel so that I can get to the door panel. I haven't looked at it yet...just wanted to get some input from you guys. TIA.

Don't forget to unplug the wires for the door locks and when pulling the panel off

instead of pulling.. i grabbed a fat *** butcher knife, and wrapped it all around with masking tape, and then i wedged it in between the door and the panel, and removed the 8?? clips that hold the door to the panel. starting from bottom, to right, then to left, and then pull out the top part.

Don't forget that it is held on by plastic tabs on all sides and the bottom. It might seem like you're breaking something but don't worry, its just stubborn.

Also, when reinstalling the panels, make sure you have it aligned correctly with the window guards and rubber things at top.

Reid - you jackass.

The easy part is getting it off. The hard part is putting it back on. Once all scews are out and everything is ready... then push up on the panel. Do not try to pull it straight off towards you. Then do the same when putting it back on. (Slide downwards)

Yeah after my window was broken, I took the door panel off to the the broken pieces of glass out of the bottom of the door. Getting it off was no problem, finessing it back on took some patience.

Once you get the leading edge of the panel in the window groove, the rest of the panel will follow.
