apex'i autotimer a/f help
i've been using my autotimer for about a month now, and just found out that the closer the a/f ratio is to 20, the leaner. but for my case the light shows green. for the voltage mode, the closer the number is to .1, the greener the led shows. I think the led's are reversed, or are they? Is this normal for this product? or is there a setting or mode, or option i have to set to correct this?

right now at WOT i get about 14.1 a/f ratio, and ~.7 volts. When i idle, i get .01 and an a/f ratio of 20, in both modes it blinks green when i idle...but when i driving its orangy/red. Is this normal?
The meter is not accurate. I have the same turbo timer, and I have a wideband o2, and have watched them both side by side. The apexi is all over the place. It doesnt read accurately. I wouldnt even suggest tuning with it because you will never know where your really at. 4 wire 02 sensors are not accurate.

Tuning off O2 voltage on a turbo car is a bad idea. O2s are not very accuate unless you've got a wideband. Even then it's still better to tune off EGTs and knock.

We all know tuning off of a regular O2 sensor is innacurate thats for sure.
But, to answer your question the LED's on the TT can be set. Check on the setting of the a/f (pull to left?) and you can adjust the LED I believe. Dont take my word as law, I have been using mine for 3 months and have yet to decipher the Japanese instructions.
I hope that helped.

the english instructions are on apex's website. Mine came with english and japanese instructions. anyway, i didnt see a setting for led's. Does yours do what mine is doing, or are your led's opposite of mine? mine: red when rich, and green when lean
Mine can go from red if lean to orange, yellow then green around 10.8 then starts turning again around 12.5 or so back to red.
So I am thinking it gives a warning if it is either lean or rich. I seriously dont pay too much attention to the LED's. I keep it on the a/f display, although not too accurate it still gives me some kind of idea. Can you give me a link to those instructions?

yup...so my led's are backwards. Oh well, everything else seems to be working fine. Its just confusing to see a number that doesnt correspond to the right color, and having your mind set to it...anyways, here is the link:
