I would like to show all of you the stupidity and ignorance, some v dub drivers are displaying. As I posted recently, I went and got my beater dynoed and tried to hang out with some v bub drivers and be cool to them but they still talk ****. One of them even went so far as to come up and gesture he was pissing on my engine, we exchanged words and he didnt take to it to well. I would be pissed to if I were running 18psi and not putting down more that 200whp too. About 3 of my friends that drive vw's called me a told me they went so far as to make a post about me, why I dont know. Like I said I am a car enthusist so anything that is fast or looks good is cool. A few of my friends created screen names on the garbage and backed me up. Don't sweat it. They all look pretty slow. The majority of the VWs put out less than 200 WHP it looks like. Damn, I didn't know they were THAT slow.

damn, I read that thread and I want to shoot myself. First of all when u go over to a website and call a group of cars out, you have to have the right attitude. You can't just say "vw's suck" or u r gonna get "hondas suck" in return. You have to at least make them think u respect their cars first and then when you smoke them post a video of it an thats when u put "vw's suck"

99% of them are 14sec cars an slower, those guys don't want to understand the honda thing and they never will. Problem is u cant really call the slow ones out cause the fast ones will always stick up for their slow brothers. There are 3 fast VW's in town. BillyT w/ the silver turbo 1.8T, John w/ the black GTI w/ the 1.8T swap and precision SC44, and the VR6 gulf turbo w/ 60-1. all are around 400whp. all will kick our asses. sad but true, we need to get faster.

Like I said, I didnt even go to the site untill, a couple of vw owners that I am good friends with called me. They told me that they new my name and my car and I went to the site, man they were saying some pretty harsh stuff, oh well I know I should let it get to me but there just so damn cocky. to all the fast v bubs, to all the haters that dont respect any decently quick car, regardless if its a 2000 honda, or a 25,000 stock car.

Let them come to my town! We have plenty of 400-550whp 1900lb hatches that will WHOOP their asses.

VW's are garbage. Guess what no matter how much power they make, they always seem to spend an arm and a leg doing it. And they are almost always in a heavier chassis. For just the cost of car, you can buy a hatch, swap it, build it, boost it, and have it run circles around another VW with double what's invested in the Honda.

THe only Vdubs I have respect for are Rabbits and Old Golfs (same difference) with 1.8T and 2.0/1.8T swaps, with custom turbo kits. Those are more of the grassroots style Vdub people. All of the other ones seem to think they are hot **** because they're 20k car with a chip, exhaust, dp, forge DV, fmic, and 50shot are running mid 13's and high 12's.

I go to the local watercooled vw meet, and even with the 15-20+ cars there, im always the fastest car there, which is quite sad seeing I'm in ALL Motor honda!

Aircooled Vdubs RULE though!

EDIT: Let me make some good comments so I don't sound like a hater, cus I am an auto enthusiast first, and a honda enthusiast second.

1) Watercooled VW's are great girl cars, if I ever have a daughter I might get her one as a graduation present or something
2) 1.8T's have nice low-end turbo (due to marble sized turbo's)
3) Confy interiors and well put together.

He's in Houston I think. Anyway VW's weigh hella more than Honda's do. I think the new Golfs tip in a little over 3000lbs. My friend's 99 base jetta weighs about 3500lbs according to his driver's door sticker.

I know what you're saying. I don't care what it is, if it's fast . I have some friends who are all into the wrx thing. They bust my ***** about my GSR, but they are just messing around. They know it will be quick when I finally get boost. They are all about fast cars, not makes of cars. As for vw's, SCR summed it up best in the last issue when they tested the beetle turbo. I wouldn't let it bother you...didn't you say your car put down more power than most of them? That's what matters and what has them pissed off.

 

Yeah, my results are in my sig. Stock ls @9-9.5 psi. no tunning stock ecu

 

I think they are nicer quality in some aspects as far as the interior and "sound" quality you get while driving in them. Other then that, thats all the props I will give. They look like crap, are heavy as **** and in no way or means fast. If they had some type of technology they would be able to run 18 psi and breakout of the 13s. Im sorry but I don't care what kind of car it is that you drive but if you got your boost cranked up to 18 psi and your still not fast your just beating your car apart for no rease. They are nice to drive for a daily driver but in no way or means a race car.

I agree with what maxboost says about car enthusiasts but let me add subaru to my list as #3 and VW/Audi somewhere in my top 10

also the cars that DIREP mentioned were on race gas and NOS (i think) usually they run in the low to mid 300's on pumped which is still fast. also there are some fast Audi S4/S6's around town with close to 400hp on pumped too.

no matter what u do or how u do it, there is always someone faster and better than u. just like there is always someone richer or stronger or prettier.
