Default Ordering Harness Tonight NEED HELP

I have 91 CRX and I just ordered my Kirk Racing 6 point bolt-in cage. I am looking at ordering five point harnesses tonight. The shoulder belts are obviously going to be wrap around mounted, but what length do I order them in? 55inch or 62inch???

55 should be fine. Whatever is "standard"

Also, order "PULL UP" belts... believe me...

"Pull up" always ONLY refers to the lap belts.. SHOULDER belts are ALWAYS pull down AFAIK.

I second the "pull-up" suggestion. One of these days I'll get around to ordering a new lap belt.

If you're doing the install in Tucson, feel free to give me a call if you need help with the install. I'd be happy to help if I'm free. You can also swing by my place and see the Kirk cage in my CRX if you need some visual help.

I am currently selling my 6-point Sabelt harnesses in the Classifieds forum. In case you might be interested, here is the link:

Things would be a lot easier if my car was in Tucson, but it's in Chicago at my parent's house right now (in pieces scattered across the garage). But my car is coming out to Tucson in the fall, so I'll have to meet up with all you Tucson people from Honda-Tech when I get my CRX out here.

Before you buy-buy mine <G>. Have full 5-point 55" wrap around and eye-bolt type camlock available. The Kirk cage is designed for the wrap around to go on the horizontal cross bar. Kirk cages are really well built and the fit is excellent-pictures available (just e-mail me). The 55" harness is more than adequate for this cage.

I just ordered my Kirk Racing cage yesterday. Their customer service was very good and they're made to order so you can add things to your cage. I added an extra door bar on each side of mine for $35. I would recommend them from my experience so far, and I have heard nothing but good things about them on Honda-Tech.

I might be interested, but I can't find anywhere online that has those part numbers as you listed. Maybe what I saw was the item number for the particular store and you listed the actual Sabelt #? Anyway, I need to make sure it fits an Integra, because I think the standard size is 55". Are they wrap around to be used with a harness bar?

Kirk Racing Products (www.kirkracing.com) is in Mt. Olive, Al - near Birmingham. Customer service and custom cages are a haulmark for them. Our weld-in 8-point was over $600 plus frieght. The price of the cage includes the optional door bars, extra tubing, padding kit and addition of the 2 forward points over the 6-point setup. Shipping was via Old Dominion and they are fast (4 days to Pittsburgh); you pay an extra charge to your house versus a business (mine went to the fab shop). My setup is a bit of overkill on the tubing (1.75 x .120). Make sure it is DOM as SCCA requires that "Shelby" seamless or 4130.

When the time comes they will get my business again.

Mybolt-in cage was $595 plus $35 because I added door bars, plus $30 because I ordered enough padding for the driver and passenger side. Shipping was a little more expensive because I have to have mine shipped to a residential address. It will save you a lot of money if you can get your cage shipped to a business address. I ordered everything over the phone because their website is still under development.

I didn't have a business to ship mine to, so I just had it shipped to the local freight hub and I went and picked it up there. Good way to save money...

All Sabelt/TRW/Sparco harnesses are one size fits all. They have wrap-around ends to be used with a harness bar, but I have purchased additional hardware to make it into a snap-in kit (before I found out it's too short!) In any case, that snap-in ring can be removed to install on a bar.

Also, if anyone has the 75" Sabelt shoulder belt in red and is using a roll cage (in which case the 48" would suit it better), would anyone be interested in a trade? Thanks!
