Default Vtec solenoid is good.. but still CEL 21..

well i checked like the helms says and i got 14.6X ohms. its supposed to be from 14-30. anyways... i still get the CEL code. now im thinking it might be because the motor (ls/vtec, with OBD1 GSR wiring harness) is in a 2000LS. i have a p30 with hondata and obd2-1 harness. would i need to re-locate a pin on the ECU harness (because its a LS harness inside the car)?? someone has to know somthing. this is the only code i am getting. im fairly new to VTEC so let me know if i need to know anything for future references.,

thanx

Are there wires in the chassis harness leading from the ECU area to the Engine harness for the connections to the Vtec solenoid and Vtec pressure switch? If no mods were made to your chassis harness (other than the adapter) then you need to add wires for the above.

ya check the wiring going to the wiring harness this should help (obd-1 ecu)
just splice into where the harness converter wires go to on the ecu diagram, then of course clean it up nice.

would i need to run a wire from the engine harness to the ECU for the solenoid?

also, i guess i have the vtec pressure switch working cuz im not throwing a CEL 22...

You won't get the code 22, unless the Vtec turns on. The only time the ECU looks to the Vtec pressure switch, is when the ECU turns on the Vtec, and then checks to see if it activated properly, by checking for oil pressure in the Vtec system. If no oil pressure, then it kicks code 22, and shuts off Vtec.

well i just checked the factory harness on my LS.. and well i followed where the vtec wire is on the adapter harness and there is no pin there.. so i should run a wire from the solenoid to the pin with no wire.. and the save for the pressure switch (has two wires... one is ground.. and other is power. i splice into the power and lead it into the ECU.. and splice into the ground and just ground it on chassis)

thanx
