how often are you supposed to change drum brakes...?

how often are you supposed to change drum brakes...?

i ask because im not sure how long they're supposed to last and i dont think it has a warning plate, so i dont think it screeches when u need to replace them... so yeah how long do they last?

You just have to replace the shoes when worn down, and you can check them by pulling off the drum.

long time and I mean long, since you barely use them. the front brakes work alot more than rear.

My car went 11 years and 162,000 miles until they were changed.

general rule of thumb is replace your brake shoes(drums) every two times you do your fronts.
