how much lighter are vx drums?
I was checking the brakes on the car today and noticed I have one drum thats bigger than the other one. Apparently when I bent my LCA a while back, I got a replacement off a non-ABS Si/Ex (that will teach me to go to the junkyard myself instead of ordering
). Now that the shoes are basically shot, I'm going to have to get one new drum anyway to make the set match, so I was thinking about getting a set of VX drums. Anybody know exactly how much lighter they are? I might as well lose some unsprung weight from my screwup.

Order 1988 CR-X HF ones - they are ALUMINUM and are a good bit lighter than sock.
I compared them last week when a co-worker put the HF ones on his Civic hatch.

BTW:
They are also finned too! They would probably cool better being finned and being aluminum.

The vx drums are also finned aluminum, probably the same as the HF ones. Do the HF drum/bracket bolt directly to a EG LCA? If so that gives me a few more options in the junkyard.
