Good place to buy cage gussets?
I know that these are "easily" made with the proper sheet metal or spare cage tubing, but my time:money ratio sometimes requires that I actually make some progress on my car rather than endlessly doing everything from scratch. So I'm in the market for some pre-made cage gussets of various shapes and sizes that I can use for the most basic bends. I still can't get around fabricating something for the tough spots, so I'd like to avoid spending the extra time on the easy spots.
I know that I/O Port used to have them on their site, but I'll be damned if I can find them now that they have rebuilt the site. Does anyone know of other places that carry them (while I wait to hear back from Ken at I/O Port)? Thanks!

Here's two to get you started. Just about every racer supply shop will have them.

Try the stock car chassis people. They use them by the pound and I have seen die-cut ones in stock, I think at McCoy in Seattle - that was a few years ago but there should be something out there.
Another example of how circle track economies of scale translate into advantages for road racers.

Actually there is a fabricator of these pieces that runs an ad in the roundy-round magazines. Go to http://www.aa-mfg.com and see what they have. You might be able to find some pieces at Art Morrison's site as well as contacting Kirk.
well, I got a message back from I/O Port saying that they no longer carry the "trick" gussets that they used to carry, so I really apprecaite the information you guys are posting.
Kirk, I don't know why I never think of the roundy-round shops. We might even have a local shop, since we have a local circle track. Thanks for the idea.
I like the simplicity of the gussets at Summit and the other places mentioned, but they seem awfully small. What are the proper applications for a 2" triangle gusset?
What I had in mind is closer to this (found in jc836's link):
I/O Port used to carry several gusets of this type in various sizes (the one above is only for 1.5" tubing, so it's too small for me). Does anyone know where I might find more like this? I still have use for the small ones around the door bars and such, but I would like a couple near the halo that are a little beefier. Thanks again for the help.

BTW, what are "Formed Tanner Gussets?" I found a reference to them on the Art Morrison page, but I'm not sure what they are.

FYI, I finally found gussets at Tanner motorsports, so I can assume that these are the "formed tanner gussets" I was asking about earlier. They look much like the one pictured above, but they have some to fit 1.75 tubing. Anyway, big thanks to Ken at I/O Port for helping me find the exact parts I was looking for, even though he doesn't carry them anymore.
once again for their help. And to anyone who's interested, I now have around a dozen sources for any gusset you might need
I also managed to find a bunch of great online shops in the process. I hope they take VISA
