anyone think these work? J's fender brace...
yeah A-Sports and other companies make them.
I would say they do show a noticable improvement. A buddy (he's on here) has them and loves them. Much firmer body and turn in. The car just handles better.
Is it worth the added weight? Depends on what you're doing. I'll probably pick some up sometime down the road...

Maybe it's the photos, but these look much bigger than the A-Sports pieces. Who's got another photo?
That's sort of what i'm struggling with. It almost looks like it would take up an area slightly smaller than the whole fender area. Unlike this one...
that's what I thought...take a look at the *dc5* Mr. Alex part... below...
the top and bottom mounts (closer to the door) look like the same mounting points as the wide sections of the braces in this image(two holes together-top and bottom)...
It looks to me like the J's part extends much further forward over the wheel towards the headlights. Stiffer?
I wonder if J's make a piece like this for the EG?

Before you go and buy the A-Sport one's you might want to wait a little longer and wait for http://www.Benen.com one's to come out. They in the process of making of making them now. And they probably will be consideralbly cheaper then A-Sport. Considering that Benen makes good products I probably just going to wait for Benen and see their prices.
Hey Jeff,
The braces in the JHP ad look much more flimzy than the Benen and A-Sports ones. The Benen and A-Sports are boxed which will be much more rigid than the flat piece of metal the others are.
Just my 2 cents.
BTW, your gonna need more than those braces to beat me at the track this year

Hey Todd. ...them's fightin' words, 'ya know...
I agree about them looking quite flimsy. BUT, it looks like these extend up over the wheel to the corner lamp area of the fender. I think they would only, marginally, control up down movement of the body between the fornt of the car and the cowl/door cut area. Who knows. I guess i'll pass on this one. Noone has used them, and nobody is giving any input on the A-Sports parts either
