In a dilema with my d16a6 build....no valvetrain??? what the friek!
I was planning on building the extra a6 w/ 11:1 forged pistons, rods, rest of block to stock specs, and with the head ported w/ ss valves, springs and retainers, cam. The valve train is for high revs and an 80 shot direct port......but I can't find springs, valves, or retainers for the a6? What the hell gives? If I can't find anything, I guess the other option would be mini me w/ stock compression a6 pistons (since it's SUPPOSSED to be 11:1 compression w/ a mini me...how sure is everyone on that?) then maybe build the vtec head....but dammit, where's the a6 valvetrain at?
i think SKunk 2 makes a whole valvetrain upgrade including titanium springs and retainers, theyre also coming out with a manifold and stage I II and II cam for it. Not sure if they make valves for it though, i havent been on their site in a while

They have a valve spring kit listed that includes the springs and retainers for the d16a6. As for valves I have no clue...sorry.

Webcam makes valve springs. Any good head porting shop can find valves. If your looking for oversized valve, try Ferrea. JG engineering makes aluminum retainers and a bunch of other D16a6 stuff.
awesome! thanks for the help guys. I've been planning on doing the port job myself...just a small one. So I guess I'll either have to call up a few porting places and ask them or search around some more. What's JG's web page? Do they even list their products? thanks for the help fellas.
err ya i've been holding out on the A6 valvetrain. I can get them but not deep on the pricing yet. working on it.. unless you want to pay the price for Ferrea's which I can get ASAP.
