90' Crx Si.. Whats the best performance mod to do??
Hey their just sold my 90 si hatch. an picking up a 90 crx si.. I was reading a few topics and I scimmed across a rev covener?? is that a good investment to make? what would be the best mod to start off with first, I kep the rims, system, off my prior civic. Just at first im goin to lower it an then go for motor mods any ideas? I dont wanan do any thing crazy or non bolt on becuase i plan on droping a GSR into her.
Besides basic bolt on mods such as intake and exhaust i would keep it simple since you are planning or wanting a swap anyways. If you arent looking into a swap theres more things you can do but id say just save your money or buy you a mount kit so that the money you have doesnt go anywhere youll regret it going.
A GSR would be pretty nice in that. Just use that B16 tranny cause its gonna be the only way you will put a GSR in there til someone makes a redily available Hydro 4G mount kit.
Good luck

I wouldn't get the intake or the header...
They won't fit on the GSR motor.. but the exhaust would work ...
I would't drop the car yet either..you may want to get new springs after the swap the compensate for the extra wight your going to have up front..
and it would be a "Speed Govener, or RPM limit. Stock CRX's here in the US only have the rev limiter..and they are there for a reason, and should only be messed with if you upgrade your valve train. either case your goin to need a new ECU any how..so no use in upgrading your current one..
best mod would be for you to get a clear idea of what you want the car to look like and drive like after your done..
