Default No Carlisle in 2003?

I just checked on the carlisle website: www.carsatcarlisle.com and I saw that they are having the Speedvision Cup teams/cars there to run the roadcourse event for the import show. I guess us honda challengers got bumped in favor of the big boys, huh?

As much fun as it was, it's one less thing to have to worry about. That course puts a beating on the car.

Yeah, but I can of enjoyed being idolized by all the riceboys like that.... That, and it was good publicity for my sponsors!

I was told it was a scheduling conflict (straight from one of the Carlisle employees). Whether or not that is code for "political conflict" is unknown.

Looks like SCCA snagged that one... Was looking forward to going this year, but could use the added time off..

I was told that NASA had too much on their plate to fit in the Carlisle show. Much props to Chris Cobetto for the great event last year.

I can't picture PD's NSX running that little course....

Good to read that they will be getting silly just like we did though! LOL!

Unbelievable! What a joke! I feel for those boys... Anybody wanna bet how long they stick around? I seriously doubt the real drivers will be in those cars.

Isn't that track really, really small? Somehow the Speedvision cars just seem a bit out of place. Now how about a JGTC 500hp Skyline GTR? Heh heh heh.

Yep, roughly the size of a large driveway. A good hot lap was about 23 seconds, and you could do it on a bicycle in less than a minute. It's a joke to put drivers of that skill level on that little track. PD started out auto-xing though, so expect him to crush the others! I wonder if that NSX will get out of 1st gear though! LOL!

I remember before I went up there last year they we're claiming it was a 1 mile road course, I almost fell over when I saw that tiny thing, when I walked down there speedracer33 was tearing up the track in his crx. Look forward to seeing the Speedvision cars though, will they be at RFK this year?

Yes, the GP of DC will return again this year. Hopefully I'll be back in the pits again as well, that was a blast!

I don't see where the RealTime NSX is entered in Speed World Challenge GT this year. It is not on the entry list so far.

None of the RealTime cars are officially entered yet, GT or Touring. I wouldn't be concerned, it's a safe guess that they will be back!

It's not Carlisle's fault. But for your info National SCCA headquarters is running the show that weekend with the help of my region. Our club (Appalachian Sports Car Club) is running the show that weekend and the Import/Kit car show
