my car makes a poping sound from the exhaust, sometime it does and sometime it doesnt, do i need to change my spark plug? anyone have this problem? how do i get rid of the sound, sometime it pop so load my car kind of shakes, like my car is stalling, happens mostly in 1st gear and 2nd

 

Thats backfire. Thats your car telling you your exhaust piping it too big and you have no back pressure. It's sort of bad but eh. At least your car sounds like a rally car.

Get an intake and see if that helps.

 

Also could be unburned fuel getting into your exhaust then burning up in there. Get a new bosch O2 sensor at the auto parts store. I think O2 sensors will pretty much screw into anything so if you get a B16 you can still use the new one.

 

Having no or very little back pressure is a good thing, there is a whole article about it somewhere in this forum.My car does the same thing I just haven't checked it out yet. My guesses are too rich air/feul mix, valve adjustment, or timing might be a little off(correct me if I am wrong).
