2way or 3way front speakers?
hey, i know that 2 way's are highs and lows and 3ways are highs, mids and lows, but what would be the best buy? im not looking for a sound competition style sound, but im looking for decent quality, what would you gusy recommend w/out me breaking my budget? thanks
sorry about that, under 100$ canadian, right now all i got is a deck but i got an Alpine Amp, 2 10' pioneers which im trying to get rid of, so i was thinking something along the lines of JVC or Kenwood etc... 200$Canadian to US is 100US thanks guys
For a $110 US you can buy some Infinity 6 1/2" Kappa 3-Way Speakers. I mean they're not the greatest speakers if you're going for competition but for everyday use they're more than enough. I have some crappy Infinity Reference speakers and they even sound good, I can't imagine what a Kappa sounds like comparison wise.
Go on www.ubid.com. They have some good stuff for cheap. I just bought MA Audio 6.5" components for $75 + shipping. They sometimes carry Ultimate and MB Quart. Check it out.
components for the front would sound better than a three way, three way components are out of the question for under 100 (boston rally 4 bills us...alpine 4 bills, cdt 5 bills, rainbow 9 bills....i know it sucks)
You might try infinity kappa 60.5cs up front, i enjoy their smooth tweets and they can be had pretty cheap. Unfortunely, its about $240 canadian.
if you are strict to your budget of $100.., GOOD 2 ways will be better then shitty 3 ways. its difficult to move air in the front doors anyways.
upgrading from reference to kappas in the same enclosure gives minimal (none) increase in bass. Kappas sound smoother, the perfects are a little harsh but many enjoy it that way.
listen to the speakers on a wall display, but remember the bass produced will not be the same in your doors.
