Default steering wheel adjustment??

this is sort of a stupid question but my crx is kinda ackward to drive, i have long legs or something and with the seat back far enough for me to have enough leg room i can barely reach the steering wheel, is there any way i can bring the steering wheel back (as in from the front of the car, toward the driver) a few inches? i saw somewhere a company that makes a thing to telescope the wheel but i can remember where i saw it and if they made it for the crx, can anyone help??

if you buy an aftermarket steering wheel, sparco makes spacers to bring it closer to you. i think there are a few other companies also.

also a quick release hub should also bring your steering wheel closer too

I have similar trouble. I'll look in my manual to see how it is attached and see if I can't devise a plan to make something to do just that. Tell me if you figure out anything!

Ok, I looked, and the thing the steering wheel goes on has splines and a nut to hold it there. The only way of extending it that I can imagine other than getting an aftermarket wheel is to get something with splines on the inside and fabricating something to hold it on as well as leave splines for your wheel to mount back on. That would get kinda messy. You also might be able to get a spare steering shaft and weld a piece in, but that could be just as dangerous. I think getting a spare would probably be your best bet.

edit: other than getting an aftermarket wheel........
