Default suspension will come before power

since i already have my wheels/tires the next thing to come will be springs and dampers...i was thinking about stock ITR springs but someone told me something about not being able to use them with LS LCA's what would be some other good road springs that would not lower my car more than 1" max...also I was thinking about a set of KYB AGX since they c an be had for around $325/set on ebay, the front sway bar will stay stock and the rear im gonna do the comptech sway/tie combo and will probably do the ES bushings along with all the parts

so basically what im asking is what are the best springs i can bolt on and not lower more than 1" and i really wanna be as neutral as i can be so is keeping the stock front bar and going with the comptech rear sway/tie combo a good way to start?

im also looking to stay pretty streetable but really improve handling and grip and i love the feeling of flat cornering but i dont wanna go too wild since its a daily driver that sees snow in the winter

I don't see why the ITR springs would not work on your car as the upper and lower spring seats are the same. You wouldn't be able to use the ITR stock shocks with your control arms but they aren't really anything really to write home about. They're better than the stock Integra shocks but not on the level of a good performance shock. Don't want to hack off any ITR owners but I dynoed some when the car came out and although quite a it firmer on bump and rebound, they weren't really anything special.

so whats a good damper at a good price, i really want to be under $400/set of 4

how important is replacing the upper strut mounts? are pillow ball mounts worth it?

The KONI reds (adjustable but not externally) are well under that price but I think that is the only adjustable there. External adjustables will be above that.

This is a spring over shock car and not really a strut car. McPherson strut cars need periodic upper mount replacements and can benefit from upper sphericals but these cars don't have them and don't need them because the damper does not rotate with steering or set the suspension geometry. Keep your upper mounts just as they are. You see "pirrow" ***** on some Japanese stuff and in theory they allow for off-angle motion of the shock top but normal rubber (my street preference) or urethane will do plenty fine and help isolate a little better.

that makes sense about the strut mounts, which i guess was why the guys on the MR2 board pushed them so hard to get em,

ive never really thought of thre Tokico Illumina's as really top notch pieces, are they good shocks?

so where could i pick up a set of urethane upper mounts? i know even stock replacements are still pretty expensive

I know the dampers are probably the most crucial part of the suspension and overall ride so i wanna know im putting on the best possible pieces for my needs

the illumina shock/spring package on ebay is only $499 which i think is a good deal but its a 1.75 drop ouch thatd be way too low for me
