Default EK master cylinder sizesand an exhaust question.....

I am doing a brake swap, full SI front and rear brakes/swaybars, etc from a wrecked 2000 SI into my 98 DX hatch. I was wondering if the master cylinder on the SI was larger than the one on my 98 DX. If so would it be worth it to swap them?

Also the previous owner of my hatch has a custom 2.5" exhaust with a straight through muffler.....I hate it!
Will the complete exhaust off the 2000 SI coupe fit in my 98 hatch?

Thanks in advance....

Master cylinder on the Si is 15/16", I believe the DX is 13/16". It probably would be worthwhile to swap in the new MC, but you may need the booster as well (have someone else confirm that.) Also, do not forget the Si prop. valve.

yes definatly swap them. the stock mc in your car is 13/16 the one in the Si is 7/8. you will need the biger mc for the rear disc. you can use your stock one but it will have more pedal movement and feel like crap. (imo) the MC will bolt up to your stock booster. not sure about the lines.
the exhaust piping is a different length for the coupes. it may just be the rear section. you may be able to use all but the axel back. not sure, try it and see
ALL 96-98 civic use the SAME prop valve that the SI 99-00 uses.
