Any tricks for compressing the rear brake piston?
What usually works for me is putting a small piece of wood against the piston, then use a C-clap to compress the piston.
you dont compress the rear disc brake caliper piston...you stick a wide enough flathead screw driver on the piston and turn it counter-clockwise.
I should have stated that my procedure was what i do for front discs, since i don't have discs in the rear i thought they would be the same

Counter Clockwise? I could have sworn last time I did my friends GSR brakes, I turned it clockwise?

Thanks. Just rotated it and it worked. One more question. How does that thing work if it's threaded like that. How does it back out while your braking?

My favorite way to make a reply like yours is "I've never done that myself, but, wouldn't you do it the same way as a front and use a C-clamp?".
If he'd listened, he'd be screwed, wouldn't he?
