My 1989 CRX Si 1/8th mile....
I went to Denton Dragway down here in Texas saturday to run the 1/8th mile. I was quite suprised with my times...I ran a couple 9.9's @69mph and tons of 10.0-10.0 @68-69 mph. I have a basically stock 89 CRX Si with intake and axle-back exhaust. Took out the spare and that's it. Does anyone know the avg. 1/8 mile for a crx w/ my mods and does anyone know what 1/4 mile time a 9.9 1/8th mile equates. I'm thinking about a mide 15(15.3-15.7). Thanks for any info...

When I had my D16Y8 in my 89 CRX Si, I ran a 9.8 in the eighth, and a 15.2-15.3 quarter mile. Your times are surprising for so few mods. Maybe you have a factory freak.
i must suck really bad for a b16 91hatch... my times are 10.1/10.2..but then again that was on no launch, and still had a 2.3 60ft time. saddddddd... oh well

Who ever mentioned something about " factory freak " is dead correct. Some cars just hall *** for some reason. I have no clue why but I have owned enough CRX's to verify that.
I had a completly stock crx that ran a 9.67 in the 8th with the front bumper off and the sunroof open and the driverside window down. I put slicks on it and ran a 9.27.
89 CRX's weigh more so you could have ran some 9.7's probably.
The average for my other 88 Si's were ~ 9.8

yeah low 16's, is about normal for a stock si
Thanks; i'm just about ready to do a b16 swap in about 3 weeks, and I wanted to have a gauge as to how big of a difference 1/4mile-wise i'm making here...but I was never brave enough to run myself
