Default muffler dimensions. ALL EG owners!

This is to all the EG owners here.
I am getting a custum exhaust put on and i need to know what dimension muffler to use. I am probably going with a magnaflow round body style muffler. Would would one with a 20 inch overall length, and a 14 inche body length fit correctly on an EG?

measure the length from the axle back and see if the the muffler will fit in there..they can always cut back the *in* piping to fit it in there..some car s they may have to mount the muffler at an angle...if u dont like doing it that way get a oval muffler with more in and out options..ull get the same performance

on my GS it was necessary to use an oval with a offset to offset in order to keep the bends to a minimum

magnaflow !!

I have a Magnaflow Oval on my hatch. It's on of the muffler and tip combo. 14 inch muffler and the tips are 6" long. It stick out from the bumper about 3-4" and looks like **** imo. If you want one to fit under the bumper is has to be a 4X9 oval body or a round (canister) body. I'm switching to a canister style.

If you want diagrams and a few pictures of their mufflers, then www.magnaflow.com. If that's not what you meant, then sorry.

so you guys use the 4x9? I would assume that the inlet and outlet should both be in the middle, is that correct?

I hope so, because that's what I ordered. But it should be; all the mufflers I see on HT are center/center ones.

Actually the inlet and outlet should be offset and be on one side of the muffler for it to fit just like stock. I know this cuz I ordered a center/center inlet/outlet 4x9 magnaflow muffler and when i took it to the muffler shop the guy told me i couldn't use it. I know that he probably could have made it work, but it would not have sat exactly like stock. I know alot of people do use the center/center oval mufflers, but on the cars I have seen, the tip will not come out in the stock exhaust cut out on the rear bumper, or the muffler will have to be angled or tilted slightly.
