ok standing outside my car everything sounds nice and stock...however driving in it, thats not the case...it is really loud inside my interior and seems like there is a lot of vibration??? is there anyone to reduce engine vibration so i don't get a headache everytime i drive my car? has anyone experienced this before?

 

all b series swaps in to an ef are like that.

after a few weeks the polyeurathane will settle and it wont be as bad, that or u will just get use to it.

 

You made it sound like you have solid motor mounts. What type are you using? I have a stock set on my B18B and it sounds fine....quiet.

 

First off what did you install the B18C into ?
EF civic CRX ? with a mount kit ?

If you look at your stock mounts they are soft and let the engine move slightly.
The aftermarket mounts have solid poly mounts that don't give much

do the math..... everything rattles....

Down side to aftermarket mounts

 

i have a question off topic but it relates to mounts...a friend of mine has a neon and he just got solid mounts put in with stock motor and supposibly these give him more power...is this true???

 

yeah i have the HCP mount kit so i guess i'll just have to wait and see and hope it gets better. thanks

 

i am surprised that your hcp mount kit vibrates like that, mine feels all sloppy, like the motor is not held very well.

 

this thing is solid, my engine doesn't move an inch.

 

HCP mounts kick ***. They are solid as hell and thats where the vibration is coming from.

 

back in the day in my first b16a 90 dx (i had welded stock integra mounts this was 3 years ago before everone an there brother had mount kits ) all i had was intake exhaust and jdm itr header , the car sounded like a chainsaw when i floored it , and there was some vibration ( because of the mounts) but not bad but the car was to loud a cop magenit

 

i put the energy suspension inserts on mine, and made it loud as ****

 

bah that vibration will never go away unless you got some cheap mounts

Mine has been vibrating for ever.. even the damn hasports vibrate badly

yup yup....even worse when you have a gutted interior

 

i got a b16a swap in my crx. its loud real loud. its also just headers though.
it vibrates the whole car extremely. waiting for a new header to line up with my exhaust thats already on. but its still loud with exhaust.

 

Yeah dont mention gutted. Car sounds like a freaking race car now But vtec sure does sound good
