WTF-missing motor mount bolt.
I recently removed the intake manifold on my F22B1 for re-conditioning etc, and found a couple of things that surprised/disturbed me.
1. A bolt from the rear engine mount was missing!
This is the bolt that attaches the motor to the bracket. The rear engine mounting point was essentially floating! I am not sure how long it has been like that but I ordered a new bolt. This is something I never would have seen had I not removed the intake mani. Might be worth a look next time you do an oil change.
2. The EGR chamber was so full of soot that it must have been flowing less than 25% of original volume.
I was getting a code 67 before I started the work and wonder if that was at related to it.
Was also wondering if anyone has any tips on mild porting/polishing of intake manifold and plenum. Those surfaces are so rough, they have the original casting surfaces. Can't get at most of it since there are so many bends etc. but can get at the parts near the ports.

well if you want just take a dremel and kind of grind away the casting flaws and yeah that motor mount bolt would be quite disturbing
