A loud exhaust awoken me at 1am this morning. I looked out the window and saw a car with tail lights on where I park my car, making revving sounds and pulling away down the street, with 2 other cars on the other side of the street with their lights on(I live on a one way street where everyone parallel parks). I called the police, put my jacket on and my glasses(I'm very near sighted), and went out to meet the cop(He arrived within 2 or 3 minutes). I come out to meet him and he talks to a car still sitting there with his lights. I then realized I had parked about 10 feet up the street than I normally do(I usually park directly under my window). The two cars were apparently just moving stuff in and one had a loud exhaust(who moves stuff in at 1am in the morning anyway?). Since I'm near sighted and my car is black, I must have mistaken it for another car.

I had to apologize to the cop and said I made a mistake He came in and took down some info. I’ll probably get a false 911 call citation in the mail At least my car is safe The cop was nice and said they hadn’t received any stolen car reports in over a year, and very few cars are stolen in town(a few are broken into though), although he’s had a few businesses broken in on main street within the last few months. I'm relieved to say the least.

 

see what honda tech does to you. PARANIOD!!!! i am too. everyone feels like their cars is going to be jacked because of the bad stories. it sucks!

 

Hey apparently you will have some import neighbors that love Uncle Ben's . What kind of cars were they??? I have had a dream about my car getting stolen and then I get up suddenly and hear exhaust and then realize that it is this idiot kid that lives down the street and he LIVES at RiceZone
